Redirections Based on Query String (?Openform or ?Openview) Do Not work in Domino 6.x

Technote Number: 1159314

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# TTRT5VLQDB and has been
addressed in Domino 6.0.5 and 6.5.4.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.5 / 6.5.4 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):

SPR# TTRT5VLQDB - Web redirection that includes ?openform, ?openview was not
redirecting in Domino 6.x. A workaround would be to exclude the query string
component of the url, remove ?Open from the redirection rule. This regression
was introduced in 6.0 and fixed in 6.0.5 and 6.5.4.

In prior releases, a Domino 6 server matches only the path component of the URL
for redirection purposes. While Domino R5 would match both the path and query
string component, this matching could lead to problems and so the functionality
was changed in Domino 6 releases prior to 6.0.5 and 6.5.4.

To work around the problem, you can remove the query string component, such as
?Open, in redirections for a Domino 6 server. For instance, in the example
given above, you would change the Redirection document as follows:
Incoming URL: /test.nsf/FormName
Redirection URL string: http://www.ibm.com

This setup requires that in any database each element have a unique name. That
is the recommended manner in which to name design elements.
